Breathing—The Beautiful Gift of Life

There may be hate blogs, motivational blogs, happy going blogs but I am not sure which category does this fall under. For some people life out there is too boring or depressive hence let’s be in our own world with a lit up cigarette is their priority but take a moment, think? Oh wait is this one more no smoking and smoking side effects bla bla? Think again. It doesn’t matter whether you wish to take your lungs for granted and live your life with a lit up cigarette but kindly consider that not everyone takes breathing for granted.

Almost 60% of human population (infants and adults) suffer from Asthma, a disorder where the lung airways get narrowed and swollen with excess mucus accumulation making it difficult for breathing. This disorder hits almost any one irrespective of their age, gender and race mostly triggered by allergy, cold, exercise, stress, genetics or any external environmental factor.

Asthmatic people or individuals suffering from asthma know their struggles in their routine activities may it be sleeping, exercising, eating or simple walking. The asthma attack can come suddenly and they may be mild, moderate or severe. Hence asthmatics struggle to live a normal life with their only hope on nebulizer. Tough the disorder hits so many individuals there isn’t any cure, there is no much research and there is no much funding towards the research too. It seems to be accepted that it’s an incurable disorder and people can manage with careful lifestyle habits and nebulizer.

As devastating as it is to know that no much funds and research goes in this area, it’s more disheartening that not much awareness and care is taken to help the asthmatics out there. This 2018 at Abu Dhabi, let’s join together to bring out the awareness on asthma, COPD and allergy. Let us deliver our struggles to the doctors, scientists, allergists and immunologists who will be gathered up at Allergy 2018 so that they can network and come up with better treatment options. Let’s join hands with several collaboration’s, societies and awareness campaigns to bring out the change and make asthmatic living tad easier. Hopefully next time someone lights up a cigarette he/she might be considerate enough to not take their breathing for granted or at least consider not to kill someone else by taking away their breathing.
